Meet Me

My name is McKenna Rae Haag. I am a junior at Reinhardt University. I am majoring in Communications with a concentration in Communication Arts. I have two moms, Laura and Jane. I have one sister whose name is Jayme. We have four dogs, two cats, three turtles, and one rabbit. We live in an extremely hectic house.

I recently did an internship with The Walt Disney Company. It was the experience of a lifetime. I was a character performer, so I was "friends with" Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and any of the other shorter characters. While I was working in Florida, technology was an important tool for me. I was able to keep in touch with family members and friends. Social media allowed me to post pictures of my many adventures at Disney for family and friends to see.

I think that media and technology play an extremely important role in my life. I rely on technology to keep me in touch with everyone I know. I rely on technology and the media to keep me up-to-date on the latest news in the world. Everyday people watch the nightly news on tv or on their ipads. The media allows the spreading of news to a wide audience. We are swayed by what the media says. Technology and the media play a critical role in our society today.
